The hardness and torque range values of the anti-theft screws we tested fall within normal parameters, and the nuts will not be damaged under these conditions.

When installing tire sockets or nuts/screws, passenger vehicles typically require a torque value of around 120-150 N·m to secure them properly, with a maximum of 160 N·m. However, our nuts are designed to meet a torque standard of 200 N·m, meaning they will not sustain damage when tightened within this range.

Potential reasons for customer-reported damage:

Rust on wheel screws: Corroded screws become difficult to remove, requiring excessive torque that may ultimately fail to dislodge the nut while damaging it.

Improper installation torque: If the anti-theft screws are not installed using the specified torque, excessive force may be required for removal. This could exceed the socket’s maximum torque tolerance, causing socket cracks. Recommendation: Always use a torque wrench and stay within the socket’s rated torque range.

Extended wrench leverage: While short-handled torque wrenches are sufficient for removal, switching to a long-handled wrench like breaking bar or long extension bar during the process reduces user effort but amplifies force at the tool head, potentially damaging the nut.
